* Flash Flood Warning for...
Jasper County in southeastern Texas...
Newton County in southeastern Texas...

* until 215 am CDT

* at 1210 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts of
1 to 2 inches are possible in the warning area. Flash flooding is
expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jasper... Newton... Kirbyville... Deweyville... Bon Weir... Ebenezer...
Buna... Burkeville... Evadale... call... Toledo Bend dam... Browndell...

* until 230 am CDT

* at 1030 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to one inch of rain has
already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Beaumont... Lake Charles... Port Arthur... Sulphur... Orange...
Nederland... Groves... Port Neches... Vidor... Bridge City...
Westlake... West Orange... Vinton... Nome... Deweyville... Moss Bluff...
Lake Charles Regional Airport... Starks... Central Gardens and
Hamshire.

Additional rainfall amounts of two to five inches are possible in
the warned area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Neches River near town Bluff.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9:46 PM Monday the stage was 68.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 64.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 71.7 feet by
Thursday early afternoon then begin falling.
* Impact... at stages near 70.0 feet... flooding can be expected
around Barlow Lake and Brushy Lake with some roads being cutoff and
some of the lowest properties near the river begin to flood.

1026 am CDT Mon may 25 2015

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 630 PM CDT Friday for
northwestern Orange... east central Hardin and southern Jasper
counties...

At 1022 am CDT... reporting gauges indicated minor flooding along
the Neches River from near Weiss Bluff to the saltwater barrier.
The water levels are estimated to be near 14.1 feet and the latest
reading at the saltwater barrier is 4.6 feet. The river is expected
to remain near 14.1 feet over the next two days.

These water levels will continue to cause flooding to low lying
communities along the river in northwest Orange County from around
Lake View to the saltwater barrier through Friday.

Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lakeview and
Weiss Bluff.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Neches River at Rockland, Texas.
* Until Saturday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 1000 am Monday the stage was 28.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26 feet.
* Forecast... expect little change through Tuesday morning as the
Neches River crests near 28.5 feet at Rockland, Texas.
* Impact... at 28.0 feet... water will begin to flood several secondary
roadways especially in the smith's Ferry community.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Louisiana and Texas... including the following
areas... in Louisiana... Allen... Avoyelles... Beauregard...
Calcasieu... East Cameron... Evangeline... Jefferson Davis...
Rapides... Vernon and West Cameron. In Texas... Hardin...
Jefferson... northern Jasper... northern Newton... Orange...
southern Jasper... southern Newton and Tyler.

* Until 7 am CDT Tuesday

* another round of heavy rain is expected to fall on already
saturated ground tonight. Additional rainfall amounts are
expected to range from 1 to 3 inches with isolated higher
amounts. A majority of this rainfall will fall in a short amount
of time.

* Areas that see heavy rainfall within a short time could
receive flood water to depths that would impact property and
people in those areas. Area creeks... streams and rivers are
also likely to experience rises.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
