southwestern Tillman County in southwestern Oklahoma...
Hardeman County in northern Texas...
Baylor County in northern Texas...
eastern Knox County in northern Texas...
west central Archer County in northern Texas...
west central Wichita County in northern Texas...
Wilbarger County in northern Texas...
Foard County in northern Texas...

* until 515 am CDT

* at 1248 am CDT... up to two inches of rain has already fallen
across the warning area. This has cause streams and creeks to
flood and closed a number of roadways. This conditions are
expected to continue for the next several hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Vernon... Quanah... Seymour... Crowell... Chillicothe... Medicine
Mound... Grayback... Harrold... Red Springs... Margaret... Lockett...
Fargo... ODell... Lake Kemp... Mabelle... Lake Diversion... Thalia...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. If flooding is observed act quickly. Move up to
higher ground to escape flood waters. Do not stay in areas subject to
flooding when water begins rising.

Knox County in northern Texas...
southwestern Foard County in northern Texas...

* until 515 am CDT

* at 1114 PM CDT... Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rain was falling over the area. That heavy rain will
cause flooding. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Munday... Knox City... Goree... Benjamin... Truscott... Vera... Rhineland
and Gilliland.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

in the flow.

flooded areas... and make plans to get to higher ground if
flooding develops or worsens in your area.
