... Accumulating snow is possible in the mountains of The Big Bend
late Sunday night and Monday morning...

... Much colder weather is headed for West Texas and southeast New
Mexico with the arrival of an Arctic cold front Wednesday
afternoon...

An upper low will move near The Big Bend region tonight and Monday
morning resulting in colder mountain temperatures. In addition
there is lift and sufficient moisture for precipitation to form
across much of The Trans Pecos. Even though most precipitation
will be in the form of rain there is the potential for snow in the
Davis... chinati... glass... and Chisos Mountains. Snow levels will
be mostly be around 6500 ft. The Chisos Mountains have the best
chance for accumulating snow with one to two inches possible.
Elsewhere accumulations are expected to be less than one inch. The
ground is still warm and wet and will tend to inhibit accumulations.
Later today forecasters will re-assess the potential for accumulating
snow.
