southern Athens County in southeastern Ohio...
southern Vinton County in southeastern Ohio...
Pleasants County in northwestern West Virginia...
north central Mason County in western West Virginia...

the warned area. Flash flooding is still occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Parkersburg, Marietta, Belpre, Jackson, Wellston, St. Marys,
Pomeroy, Oak Hill, Albany, Coolville, Rutland, Forked Run State
Park, Vienna, Williamstown, Mason, Belmont, Mineralwells,
Washington, Tuppers Plains and Lubeck.

Flood waters are moving down Duck Creek and the little Muskingum in
Washington County.

At 1 am the stage is 11.07 feet at Whipple on Duck Creek. Duck Creek
is expected to crest around 12 feet later this morning and then
start to fall. Bankfull stage is 11 feet.

At 1 am the stage is 17.77 feet at Bloomfield on the little
Muskingum. The little Muskingum is expected to crest around 18 feet
later this morning and then start to fall. Bankfull stage is 16 feet.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

southeast Ohio, Athens, Gallia, Jackson OH, Lawrence OH,
Meigs, Morgan, Perry, Vinton, and Washington. In southwest
Virginia, Buchanan and Dickenson. In West Virginia, Barbour,
Boone, Braxton, Cabell, Calhoun, Clay, Doddridge, Gilmer,
Harrison, Jackson WV, Kanawha, Lewis, Lincoln, Logan, Mason,
McDowell, Mingo, northwest Fayette, northwest Nicholas,
northwest Pocahontas, northwest Raleigh, northwest Randolph,
northwest Webster, Pleasants, Putnam, Ritchie, Roane,

cold front dropping in from the northwest.

remnants of Cindy riding up along an east southeastward moving
cold front, over southeast Ohio and northwest West Virginia this
afternoon and then shift southeastward across the entire area
later this afternoon and tonight, ending early Saturday morning
