... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 11 am EDT this
morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southeast Indiana, Kentucky, and southwest Ohio,
including the following areas, in southeast Indiana, Dearborn,
Ohio, Ripley, and Switzerland. In Kentucky, Boone, Bracken,
Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason,
Owen, Pendleton, and Robertson. In southwest Ohio, Adams,
Brown, Clermont, Hamilton, and Scioto.

* Until 11 am EDT this morning

* showers and thunderstorms will continue to move across the Flash
Flood Watch area this morning. Several inches of rain have
already fallen across portions of the watch area with additional
rainfall expected early this morning and then again this
afternoon. With saturated ground from overnight rainfall, any
additional rain will lead to additional flooding concerns.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be
prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding
occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas,
and be careful when approaching Highway dips and underpasses.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* flood advisory for...
southwestern Switzerland County in southeastern Indiana...
Carroll County in northern Kentucky...
northwestern Owen County in northern Kentucky...
western Gallatin County in northern Kentucky...

* until 645 am EDT.

* At 339 am EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain had
produced up to 2 inches of rain within the advisory area.

* Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition, farmland near creeks,
streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
Carrollton, Vevay, Kentucky Speedway, Glencoe, Ghent, Sanders,
Sparta, Worthville, Prestonville, Braytown, Interstate 71 at mile
marker 52, Interstate 71 at State Route 227, Long Ridge, Wheatley,
Langstaff, Locust, Eagle Hill, New Liberty, English and Eagle
Station.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
