The National Weather Service in Jackson KY has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
central Pulaski County in south central Kentucky...

* until 100 am EDT

* at 951 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain continuing over the warned area and water
still flowing over numerous roads near Science Hill. Over 4 inches
of rain has fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring and so the
Flash Flood Warning has been extended.

Somerset, Science Hill, Stab, Bobtown, grade, pointer, Bandy,
Woodstock, Ruth, Shopville, Mount Victory, Dykes, Dabney, Valley
Oak, bent, Hogue, magnum, Pulaski, Ferguson and Eubank.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
