The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
eastern Sedgwick County in south central Kansas...

* until 945 PM CDT

* at 440 PM CDT... trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms
with very heavy rainfall across the warned area.

Doppler radar estimated between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen
across the area... with additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches
possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... urban areas... highways... streets and
underpasses... as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
