... The Flood Warning remains in effect until 1145 am EDT for
Blackford... Jay and Grant counties...

Recent heavy rainfall was continuing to cause some flooding in the
area early this morning. At 515 am EDT law enforcement reported
several roads in the area remain closed due to flooding. With the
exception of areas near the Salamonie and mississinewa rivers...
flood waters should continue to slowly recede this morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or had been reported.
Expect slow rises along streams and rivers. Take necessary
precautions now especially if you live in a flood prone area.

the Flood Warning has been extended for
the Salamonie river below Warren
* until late Sunday night.
* At 9 PM Friday the stage was 12.2 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to a crest near 14.5 feet around 8
am Saturday August 23 and fall below flood stage around 1 am
Sunday August 24.
* At 15.0 feet... moderate flooding can be expected. Secondary roads
are blocked and the Transfer of property to higher ground is
necessary.

The National Weather Service in northern Indiana has issued a
dense fog advisory... which is in effect until noon EDT today.

Hazardous weather...

* areas of dense fog to persist through late morning.

* Visibilities reduced to one quarter of a mile or less at times.

* Visibilities to improve after 11 am EDT.

Impacts...

* motorists are advised to use extra caution and be prepared for
   areas where the visibility suddenly drops. Allow extra time to
   reach your destination.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
