Lincoln way... to the south Skunk River.
* Until this evening.
* At 3:00 am Saturday the stage was 5.9 feet... or 4.1 feet below
flood stage.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise to flood stage this morning. Continue rising to
10.7 feet... or 0.7 feet above flood stage... this afternoon. Go
below flood stage this evening.
* Impact... at 10.4 feet... water is in the yard of Riverside Manor...
located at 1204 south 4th street. Water also affects nearby
lowlands.

flood stage.
* Flood stage is 21.5 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise to flood stage this morning. Continue rising to
23.4 feet... or 1.9 feet above flood stage... this evening. Go below
flood stage midday Sunday.
* Impact... at 23.0 feet... the Shady Grove trailer park... located at
1006 South Dayton Avenue... floods. The Railroad just northeast of
Cambridge floods as well.

the south Skunk River near Ames W Riverside Rd... or from Keigley
branch near 170th street... to squaw creek.
* Until Sunday morning.
* At 3:00 am Saturday the stage was 10.9 feet... or 1.6 feet below
flood stage.
* Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise to flood stage this morning. Continue rising to
14.5 feet... or 2.0 feet above flood stage... this afternoon. Go
below flood stage Sunday morning.
* Impact... at 14.6 feet... water affects Sargent metal... located at
650 arrasmith trail.

southeastern Webster County in central Iowa...
northern Story County in central Iowa...
southwestern Hardin County in central Iowa...
Hamilton County in central Iowa...
northeastern Greene County in west central Iowa...
northern Boone County in central Iowa...

* until 630 PM CDT Saturday

* at 623 PM CDT... local law enforcement reported flooding still
occurring across portions of the area after 5 to 9 inches of rain
fell this afternoon. The heavy rain has weakened and shifted off
to the east and flood waters are starting to stabilize or recede.
However... flooding of low lying rural roads and in towns may
remain an issue through the overnight hours. Small streams and
rivers will also remain elevated into Saturday.

Webster City... Story City... Roland... Jewell Junction... Gilbert...
Gowrie... Hubbard... Dayton... Stratford... Coalville... Zearing...
Radcliffe... Otho... Ellsworth... Stanhope... Lehigh... McCallsburg...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

A record rainfall of 4.10 inches fell at Waterloo Friday. This
breaks the old record of 2.30 inches set in 1936. This is also
eighth highest daily rainfall on record.
