* at 1135 am EDT... Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm
capable of producing a tornado. This dangerous storm was located
over Blakely... and moving northeast at 60 mph.

capable of producing a tornado. This dangerous storm was located 7

northeast at 50 mph.

Blakely... Columbia... Centerville... Sawhatchee... Cuba... Rock Hill and
Hilton.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* all of southeast Alabama and the Florida Panhandle... much of
southwest Georgia... and parts of the Florida Big Bend. This
includes the cities of Tallahassee... Albany... Dothan... and
Panama City.

* Through this evening

* showers and thunderstorms will cross the area from west to east
today. Heavy rainfall will be likely with these storms.
Widespread rainfall totals of 1-2 inches are expected... but
isolated areas may see totals of 3-6 inches with these
storms... which could lead to flash flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
