through Tuesday evening...
... Flash Flood Watch for tonight is cancelled...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of east central Colorado... south central Colorado and
southeast Colorado... including the following areas... in east
central Colorado... El Paso County and Teller County and the
Rampart Range. In south central Colorado... eastern San Juan
Mountains... Fremont County... La Garita Mountains and upper Rio
Grande Valley. In southeast Colorado... Baca County... Bent
County... Crowley County... Otero County and Pueblo County.

* From Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening

* monsoon moisture and moist easterly upslope flow will trigger
slow moving thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening. Rainfall
rates of up to 2 inches per hour will be possible with the
stronger storms... which may quickly lead to flash flooding.

* Flooding of urban areas... creeks... arroyos and normally dry
washes will be possible this afternoon and evening. Heavy rainfall
on burn scars may result in dangerous mud and ash flows.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.


The Flash Flood Watch for portions of east central Colorado...
south central Colorado and southeast Colorado for tonight has
been cancelled. Thunderstorms and heavy rainfall stayed to the
south and west of this area this evening... so the Flash Flood
Watch for this evening has been cancelled.
