south central Hempstead County in southwestern Arkansas...
northwestern Caddo Parish in northwestern Louisiana...

thunderstorms continuing to produce moderate rain across the
warned area. Widespread rainfall amounts of three to in excess of
six inches has fallen across the warned area since Friday
afternoon. Numerous roads are flooded and closed... and water has
entered homes throughout Lafayette County Arkansas. Travel is
strongly discouraged this morning. Flash flooding is already
occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Texarkana... Atlanta... Wake Village... Stamps... Lewisville... Vivian... Nash...
Blanchard... Jefferson... Linden... Benton... Queen City... Plain Dealing...
Oil City... Fouke... Mooringsport... Bradley... Hosston... Buckner and
Rodessa.

Additional rainfall amounts of a half inch to an inch... with
isolated higher amounts... are possible in the warned area through
730 am.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

Little River... Miller... Nevada... Sevier and Union. In
northwest Louisiana... Bossier... Caddo... Claiborne and Webster.
In southeast Oklahoma... McCurtain. In northeast Texas...
Bowie... Camp... Cass... Cherokee... Franklin... Gregg... Harrison...
   Marion... Morris... Panola... Red River... Rusk... Smith... Titus...
   Upshur and wood.

* Through Saturday evening

* thunderstorms containing heavy rainfall are expected to continue
to spread across the four state region tonight. Additional
rainfall amounts of two to four inches... with isolated higher
amounts in excess of six inches... will be possible through
Saturday. Given that grounds have become saturated from ongoing
rainfall... this additional heavy rainfall has the potential to
enhance runoff and result in flash flooding.

* In addition to the flash flooding threat... this heavy rainfall
will cause significant rises on area rivers and lakes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
