The Flood Warning continues for
the Coosa River near Logan Martin dam.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:00 PM Saturday the stage was 466.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 467.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise to flood stage tonight at 467 feet and remain near
that level for the next several days.
* Impact... at 467.0 feet... flooding of some boathouses and docks
around the lake occurs.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Alabama... east central Alabama... northeast
Alabama and southeast Alabama... including the following
areas... in central Alabama... Blount... Coosa... Elmore...
Jefferson... Montgomery... Shelby... St. Clair and Talladega. In
east central Alabama... Calhoun... Chambers... Clay... Cleburne...
Lee... Macon... Randolph... Russell and Tallapoosa. In northeast
Alabama... Cherokee and Etowah. In southeast Alabama... Bullock.

* Through Sunday afternoon

* prior heavy rainfall across eastern Alabama has saturated the
ground. Any additional heavy rain that develops in the watch
area may quickly lead to more flash flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

Flash flood, reported by Emergency Mngr.


            Kelly Springs Road at Eastaboga Road is impassible due to
            flooding. Several additional roads in the city of
            Talladega are also experiencing flash flooding, including
            Ward street, Coosa street, court street, east street
            north, west streed, and battle streed, as well as Alabama
            Highway 77 from Mount Olive to Burney street in Waldo.

2 miles SW of Grant Town, Talladega County.

Flash flood, reported by 911 call center.


            Campbell Rd just off Hwy 21 is impassable due to water
            covering the Road. Utility/fire crews are unable to reach
            downed tree due to depth of water. Portions of granttown
            Rd are also covered with water.

... Gate operations continue at Martin dam...

Alabama power company advises that gate operations continue at
Martin dam due to heavy rainfall that has occurred over portions
of the Tallapoosa river basin. As of 9 PM this evening... 4 gates
have been opened.

Interests downstream of Martin dam should stay informed of revised
river forecasts for the lower Tallapoosa and Alabama rivers.
